I like everything to be measurable. There are times were I look at a post I written and simply can’t decide if its good. So I took sponsoredreviews post on Checklist for Writing a Quality Blog Post and created a chart for Quality Post Predictor.

Effectiveness of post title Post scannability Value for readers Personal opinion level Grammatical errors Total
1 2 3 4 5
1 2 3 4 5
1 2 3 4 5
1 2 3 4 5
1 2 3 4 5
 

Simply assign a score to each post where:
1= excellent, 3 = average, 5= very poor

WHAT THE TOTALS MEAN:
<15 = Good Post
15 - 24 = Needs Work
24 -30 = Delete it.

Completing the calculation should take less than a minute before each post but could save your blog in the long run!
Of course there are several other points to look at, if you like, go ahead and create your own chart, leave me a link if you do.
